2023 was my biggest year yet as a professional photographer. I’m fortunate to have worked fairly regularly with five clients all in Manhattan (which is just so convenient), worked with a few non-profits (been in rooms with political figures, business execs and social justice activists), and captured more on film than ever before (even if a lot of it remains unpublished as it is personal / family-oriented). I don’t have vacation images on here but my Tanzania gallery is here.
While trying to whittle down images for this recap, I tallied around 200 events that I captured in 2023 (sometimes more than one per day). I was primarily at concerts but I mixed in some burlesque, panels, book discussions, NYCC, parades, receptions and baby showers, and other events. I am grateful to have worked with venues like Lincoln Center, The Town Hall, Fotografiska, Joe’s Pub, and Hauser & Wirth, for promoters like LiveNation NY, Bowery Presents, for publications like BrooklynVegan, PopMatters, AltPress, and Rolling Stone and also contributed more images to Shutterstock.
Here’s a recap of 2023.

Lincoln Center offered such diverse programming that I captured a wide range of events, from stage plays to Korean rock bands, from marriages to receptions, the Las Culturistas awards, and music of all varieties, including Arthur Verocai’s NYC debut, Dawes, Hegazy, two globalFESTs and much, much more. Basically my entire summer was spent here!
The Town Hall had another awesome slate in 2023 including exciting book talks, comedians, Springsteen giving an award to Darlene Love and more
Was back at Joe’s Pub for a wonderful Habibi Fest and several other shows
Fotografiska New York hosted a number of book launches, including one event reflecting on the war in Ukraine, 50th anniversary of hip-hop events, and more
Non-profits including Global Citizen, IRC, IAAC and AFI
Burlesque
Film snaps for fun
In 2024, I hope to continue working with so many esteemed venues as well as directly with more artists. I’d also like to capture production stills of a (n off-) Broadway show and find that there are less protests to capture. And I hopefully I get to photograph Green Day several times.
And that’s a wrap on 2023. Thank you to all the publicists, managers, editors, friends, and / or anyone else (Kellindo!) who I worked with or may have recommended me this year, I truly appreciate it!
